The name "daannissa" comes from the local term for an umbrella-shaped native tree. The daannissa tree is known for its medicinal properties and is utilized for various construction purposes. Perhaps most importantly, it provides shade for the region's coffee trees.

This group of 44 farmers delivers their handpicked coffee cherries to the Dambi Uddo washing station with great care. Guji has gradually become one of our favorite regions for sourcing coffee.
